Article 1 Introductory provisions

The purpose of the Code of Ethics is to establish basic principles and rules of conduct for employees, which every employee is obliged to respect and comply with, thereby creating a basis for building and maintaining public trust in the work, representation, and educational activities of the employment and personnel agency.

The purpose of the code is to strengthen and promote ethical and moral values in the conduct of employees and participants in the performance of their work duties.

The basic attributes of the educational, training, and work activities of agency employees are as follows:

  • a) Education is understood to be a comprehensive process of learning and socialization focused on a child or student with the aim of developing their physical and mental personality.
  • b) education is understood as a purposefully organized and implemented process of educational and teaching activities and learning focused on the development of the child or student in accordance with their predispositions and stimuli that encourage their own efforts to become a harmonious personality,
  • c) educational need means the requirement to ensure conditions, organization, and implementation of the educational process in a manner that adequately corresponds to the physical, mental, and social needs of the employee,
  • d) work activity means professional activity and performance of work for an agreed remuneration with the expectation of reliable, accurate and timely performance of agreed work tasks with a high degree of discipline and compliance with generally binding regulations.
Art. 2 Basic principles of employer conduct

The employer duly fulfills its obligations towards employees in accordance with the Constitution of the Slovak Republic, laws and other generally binding legal regulations and internal regulations.

The employer creates dignified conditions for employees to properly perform their duties and supports opportunities for further education of employees.

The employer creates healthy working and competitive conditions for the professional and career growth of employees.

Article 3 Basic principles of employee conduct

Employees shall perform their work in accordance with the Constitution of the Slovak Republic, laws and other generally binding legal regulations and internal regulations of the employer.

Employees shall perform their work at the appropriate professional level in accordance with the required and achieved classification, which they shall continuously improve through study, if necessary, with the utmost decency, understanding, willingness, and without any prejudice.

Employees shall act and behave courteously and respectfully in the performance of their duties, but shall not be obliged to tolerate vulgar language and insults or behavior that is contrary to the basic rules of decent behavior.

Employees shall show due respect to their superiors, perform the tasks entrusted to them conscientiously, consistently, and effectively, and work creatively within the scope of their job description.

Superiors shall treat their subordinates with full respect and dignity, distribute work tasks reasonably and fairly, evaluate them honestly, objectively and fairly, do not abuse their authority over subordinates, and ensure that the principle of equal and non-discriminatory treatment and remuneration of employees is observed.

Employees work tolerantly in a team, avoid conflicts and do not provoke them.

Employees are aware of the importance of their attitudes and expressions for children and students as well as public opinion, and their behavior contributes to creating and strengthening the company's good reputation.

Employees treat information obtained in the course of their work with the necessary confidentiality and provide it with appropriate protection. In doing so, they take into account the public's right to access information to the extent provided by applicable laws (in particular Act No. 211/2000 Coll. on free access to information, as amended).

Art. 4 Conflict of interest

Employees shall not allow any conflict between their private interests and their position as AP employees. Private interests include any advantage for the employee, their family, close persons, and legal or natural persons with whom they have had or have personal or special relationships.

Employees shall not participate in any activity that is incompatible with the proper performance of their work duties or that restricts such performance.
